2007 SLOAN INDUSTRY STUDIES FELLOWS

 
 

  The Alfred P. Sloan Foundation congratulates five outstanding young researchers who have been selected to receive Sloan Industry Studies Fellowships. The 2007 Sloan Industry Studies Fellows (in alphabetical order), their institutions, and the industries they will focus on are:

   Christopher Forman, Assistant Professor, Carnegie Mellon University, Tepper School of Business, Information Systems* (Software Industry)

   Riitta Katila, Assistant Professor, Stanford University, School of Engineering, Department of Management Science and Engineering (Robotics Industry)

   Dovev Lavie, Assistant Professor, University of Texas at Austin, McCombs School of Business, Management Department (Information Technology Industry)

   Heiner Schulz, Assistant Professor, University of Pennsylvania, Department of Political Science (Banking Industry)

   Josh Whitford, Assistant Professor, Columbia University, Department of Sociology (Industrial Component Manufacturing Industry)

   The new Fellows were selected from highly qualified scholars in the early stages of their careers on the basis of their exceptional promise to contribute to the field of industry studies, to the advancement of knowledge, and to U.S. industrial development and economic competitiveness.

   The Program Committee that reviewed the nominations consisted of the following distinguished scholars:
